Video #2 Bonding on the backseat [From the series: Words don't come easy]

Download video als .mov >>

We see two women on the backseat of a car driving over the Golden Gate Bridge/San Francisco. Pop music is playing and they start reacting to the music and mimicking each other. Without verbal language they pick up each others ideas to move similarly. One woman is from Brazil and the other woman is from the Netherlands.

In the series ‘Words don’t come easy’, the theme is language as a form of problematic cultural barrier as well as an empowering instrument. Language is a way to express ourselves: our character, thoughts, feelings, and presence.
